Know what are the causes, symptoms and treatment of autism

Irrespective of the type of disease, any person of any age, if we know a little about it, then we can take quick steps to cure it, but if we do not know the symptoms of trouble then delay in treatment. There may be trouble which increases. Today in this article, we will tell about the same problem which is found mainly in children and its name is Autism (AUTISM). In the International Classification of Disease, F84.0 to F84.9, the autism spectrum disorder has been classified, in which autism, as well as its similar side, has been described.
So friends, first of all, we will know what is autism and what are its causes, symptoms, treatment, and counseling for parents?
What is autism - AUTISM
Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a type of psychosocial developmental disorder that causes problems in different aspects of life. It has been called developmental because it happens to the child from birth and as the child grows up, the symptoms start to emerge. It reflects a wide range of situations with social skills, repetitive behaviors, and communication challenges.
Children suffering from autism have trouble communicating. They have trouble understanding what other people think and feel. This makes it very difficult for them to express themselves through words, facial expressions, and touch.
Autism is four times more common in boys than girls.
Let us know its symptoms by which this problem can be identified and what is the problem due to these symptoms.

Symptoms of autism
The symptoms of autism usually appear during the first three years of life. Some children show symptoms from birth, then some children start showing symptoms in 18 to 36 months.
Very little social gathering and conversation: -
A child with autism has a lot of difficulty in sharing his thoughts and explaining his point. They shake eyes with little or no other and do not listen to others comfortably by sitting in one place. Apart from this, they also face many problems like -
  • When someone calls, do not give any response or after some time give some response.
  • Having trouble continuing the conversation
  • To say something and to get something from facial expressions
  • Irritability or a quick temper.
  • Removing sounds while speaking, such as singing songs or finishing sentences too quickly.
  • Rarely and same behavior
  • Repeating the same type of behavior as saying the same words or sentences over and over again.
  • Be very interested in some things like numbers or facts.
  • Moving things from one place to another.
  • If there is some change in the routine, such as the time to eat or drink cleanliness, then show a lot of resentment.
  • Be more sensitive to certain things like a voice, a light, color or some kind of clothes.
Apart from all these main symptoms, there can be different problems in different cases, such as sleep problems, irritability, repeatedly touching something, harming yourself, etc. Well, apart from all these troubles, autism also has some merits like remembering information for a long time, looking at things and listening and remembering them for a long time.

By the way, researchers and psychologists have not been able to find out the main reason for this because there are many aspects of it. Many types of research call it a genetic problem, although psychologists are trying to find out why it doesn't happen to other people. Let's look at some reasons.

Autism spectrum disorder involves many different genes. In some children, autism may be associated with a genetic disorder, such as Ritt's syndrome or Frazil X syndrome. In other children, genetic changes may increase the risk of autism spectrum disorder. Many times children have inherited these genes like any other member of the family has autism such as parents or siblings.

Environmental factors
According to the researcher, viral infections or complications during pregnancy play a role in triggering autism.

Extremely preterm babies
Infants born before 26 weeks may have a greater risk of autism spectrum disorder.

Low birth weight or low oxygen at birth is also a reason.

Parent’s age
Much research has found that children from older parents are more likely to have autism.

Diagnosis of Autism - Diagnosis of Autism
Diagnosis of mental problems is done by a team of psychiatrists and psychologists. Seeing the symptoms, psychiatrists prescribe some medicines and psychologists use psychological tests and therapy on them. The tools that are mainly used for the diagnosis of autism in India are ISAA (Indian scale for assessment of autism) and CARS (childhood autism rating scale).
Through this, it is ascertained whether the child has symptoms of autism and is treated accordingly.
Treatment of autism - AUTISM Treatment
There is currently no cure for autism. However, research suggests that early intervention can improve a child's development. Early intervention helps to teach important skills to children from birth to 3 years old. These may include therapy to teach cells to talk, walk and get along with others.

  • Psychiatrists and psychologists work together to treat autism. Psychiatrists treat medicines to relieve a patient's anger, repetitive behavior, hyperactivity, and attention problems and then use psycho-therapeutic therapy to teach the patient life skills so that he can perform his daily work on his own, such as speaking. , Cleaning and giving a little help in the house, etc.

  • Whatever challenging behavior is like not listening or obeying, taking off your clothes among people, kicking hands, clapping, etc. Behavioral modification is used to control such behavior.

  • To teach about social skills (Hi, Hello, Thank you, Sorry, By-By, etc.).

  • Parental Counseling- Parents of children suffering from autism also need counseling so that they can be persuaded to accept their child's situation and deal effectively with them.

Friends, if you feel that your children or someone close to you have this problem, then you have to suggest them for psychological counseling so that the problem can be managed to some extent.
